Jerry and his wife Audrey are addicted to "Old Tyme" music and "Polka Dancing".
Jerry enjoys spending time on their 165 acre farm near Northfield where
four-wheeling, hunting, fishing and planting seedlings brings the family closer
The Wicklund habitat farm has about 80 acres of prairie grass for habitat for birds, and especially turkeys and pheasants, as well as deer.
The Wicklunds are in the process of planting 1,000 good size oak trees for acorns that turkeys and wood ducks thrive on and also deer. 160 planted as of 8/1/2014 and and 100 more in 2014. They range in size from l to 6 ft high, some of the trees already have acorns. Jerry & Wife Audrey were named "Conservationist's of the year in Dakota County" in 2012.
One of Jerry's friends also takes care of 3 beehives on the farm, they help pollinate their large garden.
The Wicklunds host turkey hunting for youths every spring and are open to children hunting deer and pheasants and turkeys. The youth enjoy help plant and caring for the trees, as well as the Pine Tree groves throughout the farm.
Jerry is an avid walleye fisherman who spends as much time as possible on the lakes during the summer and winter.
Jerry is a past President of the Southern Twin Cities Association of Realtors and has served various committees. Jerry is very proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and is a former High School Wrestling Captain in Northfield as were two of his brothers before him. Jerry has enjoyed helping coach Youth Wrestlers.
Jerry's Daughter Cindy has been involved in the Real Estate industry for over 30 years. Starting as a Receptionist, working in the accounting department then acquiring her license. Cindy and her Husband of 30 years and their 3 Children currently live on a Hobby Farm with a small pond and creek running through. Cindy enjoys raising ducks and chickens, hunting, skiing and spending time outdoors. Cindy has been the Meals on Wheels Coordinator for her Church for nearly 15 years and enjoys visiting the local nursing home.
