Rosemount is located within  30 Minutes of Minneapolis and St. Paul,  Minnesota.  The world famous Mall of America and the International Airport are both about 15 Minutes away.

You will find lots of older homes in the downtown area, Rosemount has worked hard to restore and maintain a "downtown" atmosphere.  There are a number of homes built in the 40's to 70's in or nearby Rosemount.   A little farther out from downtown you will find lots of newer larger homes that have been built, even hobby farms and country homes.  Hundreds of townhomes and condos have also been built in the last 10 years offering a large variety of styles and sizes.

Rosemount has a lot of commercial and industrial land and business's that contribute to the employment and tax base.  Over 500 acres of commercial and industrial zoned land have been set aside for development, rail, barge, freeways.  Freeways provide access into and out of Rosemount.

Rosemount is proud of its award winning School District, it is the 2nd largest School District in the state of Minnesota.
Dakota County Technical College also located in Rosemount is one of the largest in Minnesota.
